PRIMARY FOCUS

Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting and repair of all rotating and associated equipment, including valves, tank mixers, pumps, motors, turbine and/or PD meters, sampling systems, relief systems, and material balance systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and safety.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures accurate documentation and records of all duties as listed in primary focus by use of various computer programs.
  • Wide responsibility in regards to construction which may include installing, inspecting, and/or commissioning of new equipment key to pipeline operation.
  • All mechanical work is prioritized to ensure the operation of our pipeline continues as required by Control Centre Operations.  This includes providing on-call services for after hour requests in order to repair failed equipment.
  • Maintain Company tools and equipment as well as assigned on-call vehicle in safe working condition.
  • Exercise and possess excellent safety standards in daily work, including safe driving, attending safety meetings, participating in annual Emergency Response exercises and safety training, and following all Company policies and procedures.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Mix of office and field environment.
  • Working in hazardous or restricted locations such as pumprooms, confined spaces, tank lots, and classified areas within yard and ROW.
  • Travel and on-call responsibilities for assigned areas and stations

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Millwright Journeyman certification.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in an industrial field or related oil & gas environment.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Successful candidate must have a proven strong work ethic, excellent communication and interpersonal.
  • Excellent teamwork skills required.
  • On-call rotation and overtime occasionally as needed.
  • Driver’s abstract, company sponsored medical and security background checks will be required for selected final candidate(s).
  • As required for emergency response incumbent must reside within 45 minute drive of terminal located east Edmonton.
